Join Cloud Nine at the 73rd Flag Day Parade in Appleton WI! The annual event is always held on the second Saturday in June. Fox Cities citizens have honored “Old Glory” since 1950, making the Appleton Flag Day Parade the nation’s oldest. This celebration annually attracts hundreds of participants and more than 50,000 spectators to Appleton.
The Parade Grand Marshal is always the United States Flag. Each year, the Appleton Flag Day Parade also pays tribute to a branch of the military. The Parade begins at 2:00 PM at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and N. Oneida Street. The route travels west down W. Wisconsin Avenue to N. State Street, south on N. State Street to W. College Avenue. At W. College Avenue the parade travels east and ends at Drew Street.
